Frisselle continued to perform exceptionally well, claiming a top three qualifying position for the first time this season in what is a highly competitive field. "The car was very strong," said Frisselle. "I was able to execute two great laps at the end of the session and achieve my goal of qualifying in the top three today."

The young rookie from Hawaii performed equally well in Saturday's morning practice, after making minor adjustments to his car following qualifying Friday afternoon. "We came out today with a strong set-up, and the car felt great," noted Frisselle. "I am feeling increasingly confident as the weekend progresses."

Position Qualified: 7th
Fastest Lap Time: 01:27.125

"The track changed a great deal from this morning to this afternoon," the young rookie remarked, "so I did not perform as well as I had hoped." After having run consistently in the top three throughout the weekend, Frisselle was "disappointed with a P7 finish." "Unfortunately, I was caught up in lap traffic at the end of the session, which is when I was hoping to turn my fastest laps," Frisselle stated.

Position Started: 7th
Position Finished: 19th

Sunday's race got off to a chaotic start, as cars were bottled up in the first two turns due to a spin by a front-runner. Frisselle maneuvered his way through the initial mayhem, only to be taken out when Rookie Nelson Philippe spun and then clipped Frisselle's rear tire, sending Frisselle off the track and out of the race. Frisselle was extremely disappointed, stating, "I was optimistic going into the race and felt confident that I could challenge for a podium finish. After running so well this weekend, having the race come to an end in this manner is very difficult." However, Frisselle is already looking forward to Portland. "I have been closing the gap between myself and front runners such as Di Leo and Maia, as I have been getting consistently stronger each weekend," said Frisselle. "I plan to continue that trend next weekend in Portland!"
