Zhuhai International Circuit Management Change Announcement
Zhuhai International Circuit today announced the resignation of Joe Lim from his current position as General Manager. Mr. Lim, who was a member of the circuit's management team since its inception, has decided to resign from the company to focus on family business and pursue other interest. However, he will remain as a consultant to ZIC to offer his invaluable experience in the field of automotive racing.
During the transitional period before a GM is appointed, Datuk Lim Hock San, who is the Group's President, will assume the position of Acting General Manager. In addition, Ms Cynthia Lim, currently Executive Vice President, will help to oversee the entire circuit operation.
Commenting on the changes, Datuk Lim said, "Joe has played an integral part in the development of ZIC and motor racing in Zhuhai. I am delighted that we can continue to benefit from his experience as a consultant and wish him success in his personal endeavors."
Ms Cynthia Lim joined ZIC two year ago with a mission to strengthen the Back Office operation of the business. She has played a key role in designing and implementing several financial and operational initiatives that has helped ZIC return to profitability. In the time she has been with the company, Ms Lim has also assumed increased responsibilities in all other aspects of the operation. Her appointment is therefore a significant step forward in executing the strategy that the management team has laid down to position ZIC for further growth. Datuk Lim stated, "With her strong financial background and solid track record, I am confident that Cynthia will continue to provide the leadership needed to make ZIC a major hub for both motor sports enthusiast and automotive corporate activities."
With the new appointment, Ms Lim will now head a management team that includes Jenkins Zhan as Director of Support ,Stewart Tan as Director of Operations and Benjamin Grenon as Director of Sales and Marketing. Ms Lim commented, "We have developed a strategy that will, over time, maximize the potential of the circuit business and its employees. There is a lot of work ahead, but with the management team's experience, we are well positioned to deliver on the plan"
