KNOXVILLE, IOWA (JULY 20, 2001) - Doug Wolfgang and 'the Wolfpack' will be the featured speakers at this year's National Sprint Car Museum 'members only' historical forum on August 9 during the Amoco Ultimate Knoxville Nationals. The two- time National Sprint Car Poll "Driver of the Year" from Sioux Falls, S.D., will be joined by a pack of his former sprint car owners. Among those that have already agreed to join 'Wolfie' and forum moderator Dave Argabright are Dan Motter, Gary Mussatto, Lonnie Olson, Max Rogers, "Speedy" Bill Smith, Gary Stanton, Bob Trostle, Dave Van Patten and Ray Williams. It is hoped that others, such as past "Owner of the Year" honorees Bob Weikert ('85) and Danny Peace ('89), will also join the panel discussion.

The forum, which is open to the non-profit museum foundation's annual supporting members, will be held on the second floor from 1 until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 9. It will chronicle Doug Wolfgang's career in sprint car racing during the 1970's, '80s and '90s. Individuals wishing to purchase the museum's $25 annual supporting memberships in order to receive such value-added benefits as this forum are urged to call toll- free 1-800-874-4488 or visit the museum during the sport's national championships, August 8-11, in Knoxville, Iowa.
