Watkins Glen, NY (March 21, 2001) - Watkins Glen International President, Bryan R. Sperber, announced today that WETM-TV/Channel 18 has been named the official television station of the historic road course and the 2001 racing season.

WETM is the first official television station of Watkins Glen International in the track's history. Channel 18 will provide exclusive coverage of the racing season at The Glen, with live coverage during many of the season's events. The station will once again broadcast the Global Crossing @ The Glen Winston Cup race preview show prior to the race.

"WETM is thrilled to be the official television station of Watkins Glen International and the 2001 racing season," said Jim Berman, general manager of WETM. "NASCAR's popularity has been growing exponentially in the Twin Tiers region, and we are delighted to work with Watkins Glen to make this season the best ever."

Advance ticket prices, including the $39 Winston Cup event ticket, are available through May 6.
