HISTORIC ROAD COURSE INTRODUCES NEW IDENTITY AND GUIDELINES
Watkins Glen, NY (October 31, 2005) -- Watkins Glen International president Craig Rust unveiled a new track logo on September 23rd following the announcement of the 2006 season schedule. The previous track logo was used as a base for the redesign to maintain the current brand identity. Today, the style guidelines were also introduced as part of the new identity program as the track prepares for the 2006 season.
"Watkins Glen International is one of America's most legendary road racing venues, and 2005 was one of the best seasons in over 20 years," stated Craig Rust president of Watkins Glen International. "We decided to leverage the energy and enthusiasm of this past season going into 2006 by creating a new logo with an updated look and feel."
