Per se, single car teams can lease a second motor for an additional $22,500 for the full 2001 USF3 race season. The lease package does not include rebuilds of the motor; as may be necessary.

"Several teams have shown a keen interest to expand to a two-car effort, "said R. Cary Capparelli, President and Chief Executive Officer of Active Worldwide Sports LLC; organizers of the United States Formula Three Championship Powered by Volkswagen. "This special motor lease package has been formulated to allow for that growth potential. It is our objective to double the USF3 entry in 2001."

"With this package, realistically, a chartered team can apply its Total Motor Development prize awards from last season and acquire motor leases for a two-car team for approximately $50,000," said G. Garvin Brown III, Chairman, Active Worldwide Sports LLC. "This is a sensational motor lease program. The motor is superb and the price is dramatically lower than in Europe."

The base price of the motor lease is $37,500. A limited number of charter motor leases remain available at $32,500. Total Motor Development LLC posts awards at all USF3 rounds for all eligible base and charter members.
