Ruffies Trash Bags To Sponsor Team Concept At Lakeland

HICKORY, N.C. (November 20, 2001)- Team Concept Racing has announced a sponsorship agreement with Ruffies Trash Bags, a division of Tyco Plastics, for the November 24th USAR Procup Series race in Lakeland, FL. Ruffies Trash Bags will support the No. 44 Ford Taurus driven by Jon Kerley for the 300 lap season finale at USA International Speedway.

“ Our relationship with Tyco Plastics started last year. Ruffies sponsored the car for a couple of races and was involved in a few trade shows,” states Mark Davis, Director of the Team Concept Program.“ Marcie Aaron, of the Marcella Group, and Ray Gothie, of Tyco Plastics, wanted this sponsorship to happen for 2001 but the funding along with distribution did not fall into place early enough. With a good run and plenty of exposure this could materialize into our primary sponsor for 2002.”

Tyco Plastics is also using this opportunity to announce their involvement with the 2002 Great American Cleanup of Florida that will be sponsored by Ruffies Trash Bags.“ The Great American Cleanup of Florida is Florida’s largest organized cleanup, beatification and community involvement program. In 2002, an estimated 142,000 volunteers will participate in Florida Communities,” according to information forwarded to Marcie Aaron of the Marcella Group. The Great American Cleanup will be supported by twelve weeks of events and activities from March 1st to May 31st 2002.
