INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA, September 21, 2000 - On the eve of the first United States Grand Prix in nine years, British American Racing Honda today announced the signing of two new commercial partners, Bee-Trade.com and ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc. Bee-Trade.com is a private, Nevada-based company that aims to provide the foremost global online forum for boutique-style auctions and e-stores, allowing members to buy, sell and trade goods and services safely and confidently on the Internet. To accomplish this aim, Bee-Trade personnel have developed specialised software to create what they have dubbed a "dot-com-unity". Along with online shopping, members have access to a wide range of free services, including private e-mail and calendars, chat rooms, live news, weather and sports scores, all of which can be tailored to individual requirements and preferences. Bee-Trade.com has entered into a multi-year contract with British American Racing. The company''s distinctive "racing bee" logo will appear on the front wing of the BAR Honda 002 starting with this weekend''s United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis. ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc. is a Canadian-based company specialising in the research, design, development and marketing of laser and thermal imaging technologies used in the medical and industrial fields. The contract with BAR covers the use of ART''s ISIS industrial inspection technology and provides the team with direct access to a leading-edge system that will enhance the quality and performance of its cars. At the same time, the partnership with BAR will provide ART with a presence in an industry with tremendous commercial potential as well as generate global exposure for the company''s technological expertise. "We are very pleased to welcome Bee-Trade.com and ART Automotive Research Technologies Inc. to British American Racing," commented the team''s Managing Director, Craig Pollock, announcing the news. "Bee-Trade.com has demonstrated a really innovative approach to the whole business of e-commerce. It is a young, free-thinking organisation that is hungry for success - a lot like British American Racing. "ART, with its proven expertise in laser and thermal imaging systems, is a natural fit with the world of Grand Prix racing, which thrives on the development and application of the latest technologies. We look forward to building successful relationships with both companies."
