DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2000) Unocal 76, a long-time fixture at the World Center of Racing, has signed on to become the Official Fuel of the Grand American Road Racing Association, it was announced today.

As part of the agreement, Unocal 76 will be the exclusive supplier of fuel to all race cars in the Grand-Am series. The agreement runs for the entire nine-race season in 2000, starting with this weekend s Rolex 24 At Daytona.

"We are powered by the best drivers and manufacturers in road racing and now our series is powered by an outstanding supplier of racing fuels," said Bruce Mosley, Director of Marketing for the Grand American Road Racing Association. Adding Unocal 76 to our expanding list of official sponsors is an important step forward in the continued growth of our new series.

Unocal 76 will be utilized by all race car classes in Grand-Am competition: SportsRacer, GTO, GTU and AGT and, when it debuts in Round Two at Phoenix International Raceway later this season, SportsRacer II.

The company has been the official fuel supplier for Daytona International Speedway since the mid-1960s. Its racing history traces back to the early days of NASCAR. Tosco Corporation is the owner of the Unocal 76 brand of gasoline.

Based in Daytona Beach, Fla., home of the legendary Rolex 24 At Daytona, the Grand American Road Racing Association s mission is to become the premier sanctioning body for professional sports car road racing in North America, as well as the rallying point for its tradition, history and lifestyle activities.
