2009) -- Sports Car Club of America, Inc. is happy to announce Richard (Rick) Ehret as the organization's new Vice President of Finance and Administration.

Ehret comes to SCCA after nine years with QuVIS, Inc., a technology corporation based in Topeka. As controller, Ehret was responsible for all of QuVIS's accounting policies and practices. Marine Corps. While with the U.S. Coast Guard, Ehret led a team of programmers and analysts charged with maintaining a payroll system for 40,000 individuals.

Ehret replaces former finance VP Jeff Dahnert, who was named the club's new president and CEO in December.

"Rick's credentials are impeccable," Dahnert said. "I'm well aware of the fiscal challenges this club faces, especially in the current economy, but I'm confident that he has the experience and insight to ensure we remain financially sound."

In addition to creating and overseeing financial strategies for SCCA, Ehret will also serve a similar role with subsidiary SCCA Pro Racing.

"It's a real pleasure to be on board," Ehret said. "This is a rather unique company. Jeff's guidance will be helpful as I settle in, but I'm excited to bring a fresh perspective to the club. This is an excellent opportunity for me and I'm looking forward to learning more about SCCA."

A Topeka resident, Ehret earned an undergraduate degree and M.B.A. from the University of South Dakota and is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
