When the Barber Dodge Reynards fire up on the grid at round one of the 2000 Barber Dodge Pro Series, the fire will come from a Champion spark plug.

Champion, a division of Federal Mogul, is now the exclusive supplier to the Barber Dodge Pro Series. With an average of 25 all-aluminum Dodge V6 engines in service at every round of the Barber Dodge Pro Series, that equates to 150 spark plugs at work. Then again, Champion is no stranger to numbers. Over the years, they have been at the heart of racing engines the world over. To their credit are 350 Formula One Grand Prix victories and 46 Indianapolis 500 victories.

“We are delighted to be involved with the Barber Dodge Pro Series, as this is a program that helps young racers come up through the ranks into the top levels of motorsport,” John Glover of Federal Mogul said. “Furthermore, as a supporter of this series, it strengthens our ties to Chrysler as we are original equipment suppliers for their entire product range.”

Every Barber Dodge Reynard 98E will carry the famous Champion logo on its nose from round one at Sebring International Raceway on March 18 forward.
