FORT WORTH-DALLAS (March 26, 2001) - Five months after expanding his Charlotte-based gallery, Sam Bass is once again expanding -- this time to Texas.
Members of The Speedway Club at Texas Motor Speedway will now have the opportunity to experience the artwork of Sam Bass, NASCAR's premier artist, first-hand as the new Sam Bass Gallery is set for it's grand opening on Saturday, March 31.
"I am truly excited about the future opportunities the Sam Bass Texas Motor Speedway Gallery will provide me to showcase my art and share it with the race fans," said Bass. "Texas Motor Speedway is a facility second to none and I am very proud to be a part of it."
The gallery, located on the 8th floor of The Speedway Club, will be offering several limited edition prints such as "Eyes of Texas*" featuring Rusty Wallace and a Lone Star State theme, and "A Texas Size Win!", the program cover art for the upcoming Harrah's 500 race weekend. A variety of posters will also be available for purchase.
Although the existing Speedway World gift shop will continue to offer a few framed pieces and posters, The Speedway Club gallery will offer updated artwork and will be exclusively Bass' work. No other souvenirs will be for sale providing for a more "artsy" atmosphere.
Bass will be available to sign autographs from the new gallery on Saturday, March 31, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 1 from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
The grand opening is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 31 and will remain open until 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday, hours are 10:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. The gallery will be open to all Speedway Club members who have race tickets and Speedway Club member cards.
