Braselton, GA: Claudette Ashman, Marketing Manager for Road Atlanta Motor Sports Center, announced her resignation today. Ashman will continue to act as a consultant to Road Atlanta, assisting with the promotion of the track's major events such as AMA Superbike and Petit Le Mans. She will be starting her own company providing promotional and hospitality services to the automotive/racing industry.

"I am very thankful for the experience Road Atlanta has provided me over the last few years, enabling me to make this career move. I am very excited about continuing my relationship with Road Atlanta," said Ashman.

Mike Swaine, Executive Director for Road Atlanta, is optimistic about the 2000 season and the opportunities that Ashman can fulfill in her new role. "We are disappointed about Claudette's departure, but support her newly found business and look forward to working with her in her new capacity," said Swaine.

Road Atlanta, now in its 30th season with fourteen races slated for the year, has seen many changes throughout its history. With its focus on the quality of entertainment, recent developments and continued improvements have made the track one of the top road racing venues in the country. Road Atlanta's final 2000 schedule will be released by late January.
