RML Win MIA Business Excellence Award
RML last night collected the Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) Business Excellence Award for Small Business of the Year 2005. The award was presented by Francisque Savinien, International Marketing Manager, from Performance Racing Industry and was a result of nominations from fellow MIA members who voted for companies they feel have achieved outstanding performances in their field over the last year.
The MIA Business Awards were instituted in 1995 to recognise excellence at all levels within the motorsport industry. The awards were presented during the MIA Industry Awards Dinner, organised in conjunction with the Autosport Interntational Show at the NEC, Birmingham and watched by over five hundred representatives from the international motorsport community.
Ray Mallock commented "I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of the RML workforce. It is a reflection of the whole team's achievements during the last year which included the successful debut of the Chevrolet WTC and of course our win at Le Mans."
RML's 4,300 square metre facility is based in Northamptonshire, England and includes full design, development, manufacturing and operational support for international race/rally programmes and automotive engineering projects.
The organisation has achieved championship success in a diverse range of motorsport categories including GT/sportscars, touring cars, rally cars, single seaters and oval speedway cars. In 2006 RML teams will compete in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, the Le Mans Series and the Le Mans 24 Hours.
