Valvoline ProVee Series /ARC Specialties Post Contingency for Runoffs® Formula Vee
ProVee Promotions and ARC Specialties have announced their sponsorship of the Formula Vee race group at the Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) 2001 Valvoline Runoffs®. The Valvoline ProVee Series and ARC Specialties lend their enthusiastic support to Formula Vee racing by posting $4,000 to be evenly split between the top 20 qualifiers at the Valvoline Runoffs®, SCCA's National Championship race. Apart from the usual decal requirements, competitors will also have to complete the first lap of the race to be eligible.
ProVee Promotions, organized and run by Formula Vee drivers, has initiated this contingency in order to show its support for the FV class. Since 1991, ProVee Promotions has administered the Valvoline ProVee Series which was designed to showcase the best class SCCA Club Racing has to offer to a broader range of audiences at both professional and SCCA national road racing venues. The series gives drivers cash awards and the chance to compete against larger fields of topnotch drivers from all over the United States.
ARC Specialties (www.arcspecialties.com) is a specialty manufacturing company located in Houston, Texas. They custom design and build automated manufacturing equipment with applications that range from armor plate welders to candle wick insertion.
"We are very pleased to join Valvoline and ProVee in posting this contingency," declared Dan Alford, President of ARC Specialties. "Formula Vee fits in very well with the image our company tries to project: agile, nimble and most of all, innovative."
Valvoline (www.valvoline.com) is in its 11th season as the title sponsor for ProVee (www.provee.org). In addition, several associate sponsors fund a contingency awards program. Among these are ADPAC, ARC Specialties, Caracal Cars, DRE Inc., Goodyear, Hoosier, LRE Inc., Noble Championship Power, SR Racing and Zander Radio Systems.
"It is exciting to be able to join our title sponsor, Valvoline, with these awards for the Runoffs®. They show our commitment to the class, the series and ultimately the SCCA," said ProVee Promotions President, Cathy Heinz.
