CHARLOTTE, N.C., (Oct. 4, 2000) - Omnicom Group has acquired The Motorsports Decisions Group, Inc., (TMDG) a leading Charlotte-based sports marketing agency primarily known for its NASCAR-related accounts.
TMDG and its employees will remain in Charlotte and the TMDG name will be retained as well. Danielle Randall, who founded the company in 1996, will continue as president.
Omnicom Group Inc. TMDG currently manages motorsports accounts for corporations including Square D Company, The Home Depot, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Crew Chief Club, EA SPORTS and Riddell Sports. The agency's athlete representation includes drivers Kenny Wallace, Randy LaJoie, Geoffrey Bodine and Mike Wallace; crew chiefs Todd Parrott, Jimmy Makar, Larry McReynolds, Robin and Ryan Pemberton, Greg Zipedelli, Jimmy Elledge and Tommy Baldwin. Race teams MacPherson Motorsports and Eel River Racing are also among TMDG's client roster.
