INDIANAPOLIS, IND. (November 29, 2001) - Fred Brownfield of the Northern Sprint Tour (NST) received his first 360 "Promoter of the Year" title. Brownfield's NST is known nationwide for putting on exciting and entertaining 360-c.i. sprint car racing with some of the best drivers in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. The National 360 Sprint Car Poll is an official awards program of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum Foundation, Inc.

Having just finished his 6th year of promoting the hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour, Mr. Brownfield feels honored to have been chosen by his peers in the racing community for this national award. He also states ...." I didn't do this alone. It also takes great racing programs on a consistent basis to build up to national recognition, something that would not have happened with out a crew that keeps the show moving and the support of the many fine drivers and crews we have in the Northwest."

Several Northwest drivers placed well in national ratings in the 360 Drivers Poll. 2001 Northern Sprint Tour champion Roger Crockett placed 9th, with three time champ Shawna Wilskey 12th and Jayme Barnes 25th. Also receiving multiple votes were Rick Fauver, Dale Smith and Jason Solwold.

Brownfield Promotions, Inc. is looking forward to bringing more great racing to the Northwest in the year 2002 with it's continued promotion of the hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour, the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Wild Wild Northwest Tour and Grays Harbor Raceway Park.
