The Board of Directors of Circuit Zolder has appointed Peter Hudders as the new General Manager. This appointment was officially announced today.

Peter Hudders (50) succeeds Roger Dejaeghere who announced his departure a few months ago. Back in May 2007 Dejaeghere followed in the footsteps of Jan Verschraegen, having initially acted as Manager ad interim.

Peter Hudders was born in Bruges and lives in Haacht. From 2004 up until now he was the Director of Succursale MB Europa/MB House at Mercedes-Benz Belux (Daimler), having previously held the position of General Manager Toyota City Zaventem (Inchape - 2001-2004), and earlier he held a similar position with Sapsa Bedding (General Manager Benelux - 1997-2001). Prior to this he built up an extensive commercial career as sales manager with amongst others Ricoh and Edelcolor.

The new General Manager will be taking over the reins on Monday, 16th March and will be heading up a team of 28 staff members and several hundred volunteers. Circuit Zolder are on the eve of a new season. On the calendar various eye-catching events such as the Belgian Race Kick Off (April), 24 Hours of Zolder (August), Truck Grand Prix (September) and the FIA GT Championship (October). The year's events will come to an end on 26th December with a round of the Cyclo-Cross World Cup.
