FORT WASHINGTON, PA OCTOBER 23,2001 . . . Many of the top names in motorsports have appeared at the Motorsports Auto Racing Trade Show. And the 17th edition of the mid-winter motorsports extravaganza, 270,000 square feet of nothing but auto racing, will again include appearances by a number of top racers and personalities in the sport. The popular show takes place at the Fort Washington, PA Expo Center, January 11th thru January 13th.
"A large percentage of our more than 600 exhibit booths are already spoken for as a result of special offers to exhibitors in previous shows. Now the exhibit space is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. And believe me it is going fast because the 2001 show was such a huge success for exhibitors." said show organizer Len Sammons.
The 17th annual show will feature stars from NASCAR, Pennzoil World of Outlaws, NHRA, and so many other major national and regional racing organizations. And there will be a large number of well known names in local motorsports appearing at the three day show.
More than 600 display booths will be filled with everything related to auto racing. Many speedways and auto racing organizations will have their new schedules and other information available for fans and racers. There will be exhibits that offer the newest race cars, safety equipment, sportswear, collectables, videos, tires, publications and so much more.
More than 150 race cars representing just about every segment of motorsports will be on display throughout the 270,000 square feet of display space.
Seminars on how racers can raise money through sponsorship or get first hand knowledge on set-ups and more will take place throughout the weekend. And Motor Max Motorsports Garage will offer live demonstrations on a variety of subjects.
Of course the always popular U.S.Tobacco Ms. Motorsports Pageant will be a highlight of the show as will the Kids Big Wheel Competition, the Li'l Miss Motorsports competition and other events.
And making it easier to get to the show is a new exit and entrance to the PA Turnpike right at the Fort Washington Expo Center leading to a free parking area.
Motorsports 2002 is expected to attract more than 40,000
people and the very popular show, perhaps the largest of
its kind in the nation, continues to be one of the major
trade shows in the Philadelphia market area.
Show hours will start at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 11 and continuing through until 6 p.m. on Sunday, January 13.
