BROOKLYN, Mich. (Dec. 4, 2006) -- Michigan International Speedway President Roger Curtis announced today the hiring of Andy Longenberger as the track's new senior manager of Corporate Partnerships. Longenberger begins his appointment Monday, December 4.

"Andy brings a great deal of corporate sales knowledge to the MIS family and we're excited for him to get started," Curtis said. "We needed an individual who could oversee many of our key sponsorship accounts and Andy is someone who can do that. He is an energized, motivated individual who will be a nice addition to our track."

Longenberger is no stranger to International Speedway Corporation (ISC), MIS' parent company. He has spent the past five years in a variety of capacities at Watkins Glen International and Nazareth Speedway. Most recently, Longenberger served as the manager of Sales and Business Development for Watkins Glen, overseeing many promotional and sponsorship accounts for the famed road course. He also spent three years as the track's Corporate Sales manager and executive.

"I'm really excited for the opportunity to work at MIS," said Longenberger. "MIS has a great long-standing tradition of being one of the nation's premier racetracks and I'm ready to get started."

Prior to Watkins Glen, Longenberger was a Corporate Sales executive for Nazareth Speedway. He also spent time in sales and marketing for WFXP FOX 66 television in Erie, Pa. He earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in 2000.
