Milwaukee Mile Hires New Director of Ticketing

(West Allis, WI) August 11, 2004 -- The Milwaukee Mile is pleased to announce the advancement of Scott Potrzebowski to Director of Ticketing, effective immediately. Potrzebowski has worked part-time at the historic speedway's ticket office since January of 2000.

"Scott has a great deal of experience and he's been a familiar face in our offices for a number of race seasons. He knows our system and we are very pleased he's joining our dedicated staff on a full-time basis," stated Mark Perrone, Vice President & General Manager of The Milwaukee Mile. "We know Scott will continue to provide excellent customer service, now in a leadership role within our ticket office."

Potrzebowski comes to The Milwaukee Mile from The Bradley Center in downtown Milwaukee. He began as a part-time ticket representative at the multi-use facility in September of 1995, and worked his way up to Ticket Services Supervisor before accepting his new position at the speedway.

The Gateway Technical College Honors Graduate has a well-rounded background in sports and entertainment venue operations in the Milwaukee area, and still enjoys working with the Milwaukee Brewers as a groundskeeper when time allows, something he's done since 1993.

Portzebowski's background also includes a five year stint as a supervisor of an Oak Creek restaurant, managing a sporting goods store in Racine, and working as an intern with the Kansas City Royals.

The next event on The Milwaukee Mile schedule is the ASA National Tour and Governor's Cup Stock Car races August 27-29. The nation's top short track stock car racers will compete in a 200-lap ASA National Tour race on Sunday afternoon, August 29. Over 170 additional entries in four divisions are expected in the grass roots Governor's Cup races held throughout the weekend. For ticket information, call (414) 453-8277, toll-free at (800) 955-5566, or log on to the speedway's website at www.milwaukeemile.com.
