The Milwaukee Mile is in an unique position as the only auto racing facility scheduled to host both an Indy Racing League IndyCar Series race and a Champ Car World Series event in 2004.

The longstanding history of racing at The Milwaukee Mile, dating back to it's first auto race held in 1903, parallels the tradition and excellence of Bridgestone/Firestone.
The Firestone brand first appeared on a racecar at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1909, two years prior to the first Indianapolis 500-mile race. Legendary drivers A.J. Foyt, Lloyd Ruby and Al Unser are among the drivers who have raced to victory at The Milwaukee Mile aboard race cars equipped with Firestone racing tires.
The winning tradition of Firestone continues, as Firestone Firehawks are the official tire of the Indianapolis 500, and serves as the official tire of the Indy Racing League's IndyCar Series and Infiniti Pro Series. The stars of the Indy 500 competing in the Indy Racing League will make it's first appearance at the improved one-mile oval the weekend of July 23, 24 and 25.
The Bridgestone brand became a presenting sponsor of the Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered By Ford in 2003, and is regarded as a world leader in motorsports, capturing titles in motorcycles and, for six consecutive seasons and counting, the FIA Formula One World Series. The champ cars return under the lights at The Milwaukee Mile June 3, 4 and 5, with Bridgestone Potenzas the exclusive tire for the series.
