Miller Motorsports Park Receives 2008 World Superbike Organizer Award

TOOELE VALLEY, UTAH (December 23, 2008) -- Miller Motorsports Park is honored to have been named the recipient of the 2008 World Superbike Organizer Award from the FGS Organization, the operator of the HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship.

Miller Motorsports Park hosted the return of the HANNspree FIM World Superbike Championship to North America over the weekend of May 29 -- June 1, 2008. The HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship is the world's third-largest racing series; events are broadcast live on 95 networks in 173 countries around the world to an estimated viewing audience of 120 million. The HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship StriVectin-SD USA Round presented by HANNspree was the biggest event in the three-year history of Miller Motorsports Park, attracting record crowds and international attention.

In a congratulatory letter, Paolo Flammini, CEO of the FGS Organization, said, "It is a wonderful achievement for any circuit to win this award, but it is exceptional to win it after only one year of collaboration with FGS Organization. In such a short period of time, Miller Motorsports Park succeeded in putting on one of the best-organised and most successful events of the entire championship, well up to the standards required for World Superbike championship level. The high level of professionalism and commitment of the whole circuit management and staff, with regard to the organisation of the WSBK Round, has been the key factor in winning this prestigious Superbike Award. The top management of FGS Organization together with its staff have carefully analysed each aspect, from an organisational, promotional and sporting point of view appointing Miller Motorsports Park as the best circuit of the year."

Greg Miller, CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies, said, "It is an honor for Miller Motorsports Park to have been named the recipient of this prestigious award. It certainly reflects well on our management and staff, who worked very diligently and conscientiously to ensure that our FIM Superbike World Championship event was successful."

The HANNspree FIM Superbike World Championship returns to Miller Motorsports Park over the weekend of May 29-31, 2009, and will be joined by the FIM Supersport World Championship and the AMA Pro Racing Superbike Championship. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
