DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 2, 2002) * Daytona International Speedway President John Graham announced today the promotion of Mike Manning, Manager of Promotions, to Director of Operations for DAYTONA USA.
"Mike brings a wealth of knowledge and operational experience to DAYTONA USA," said Graham. "After a successful expansion this year for the 'Ultimate Motorsports Attraction,' we believe Mike has the energy and vision to keep DAYTONA USA moving in a positive direction."
Manning, 40 of Raleigh, NC, joined Daytona International Speedway in 1999 as manager of promotions. In this role he was responsible for event promotions, entertainment, event operations, and publicity.
Prior to Daytona International Speedway, Manning worked for Turner Broadcasting in Atlanta, GA, as publicity manager for Cartoon Network. Manning, a graduate of the University of Tennessee, has nearly 20 years experience in publicity and promotion of sports events.

DAYTONA USA, the official attraction of NASCAR, is a one-of-a-kind interactive motorsports attraction which features a variety of hands-on activities utilizing both advanced technology and historical elements. The attraction, located just outside the Fourth Turn of Daytona International Speedway, opened a 10,000 square foot expansion in July 2001 that included the addition of DAYTONA DREAM LAPS and ACCELERATION ALLEY.
