The 2000 Formula One season provided a host of memorable moments and journalists from around the world have made their choices for the "Priceless" Moment of the 2000 F1 Season in a poll conducted by MasterCard -- an official global sponsor of the Benson & Hedges Jordan-Honda Grand Prix team.

The ballot, which was prepared by a select panel of F1 journalists including Stuart Sykes (Australia), Kunihiko Akai (Japan), Gerald Donaldson (Canada) and Tim Collings (UK) includes 10 "Priceless" moments from nine races, beginning with the season opening race in Australia and continuing through to the Malaysian GP, where Michael Schumacher won for the ninth time of the season.

With more than 50 sports media from around the world voting, the ballot has now been reduced to the final five moments. The five finalists, in no particular order, are:

Schumacher and Hakkinen's qualifying duel for the Pole in Japan; Rubens Barrichello's victoy in Germany, the first of his F1 career; Schumacher's victory and emotional post-race press conference in Italy; Hakkinen's thrilling passing move at Spa; and Schumacher's win at Suzuka which clinched the Championship for him and Ferrari.

Votes were scored using a weighted system that awarded five points to all first place votes; three points for second and one point for third place to determine the finalists. Through the aforementioned points system, the overall MasterCard "Priceless" Moment of the 2000 F1 Season will be determined and announced on February 5.
