LAS VEGAS - Mopar Parts has partnered with Las Vegas Motor Speedway to host the Mopar Parts World Finals for the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Nov. 2-3 at the speedway's half-mile dirt oval.

"We're excited to have Mopar join us as the sponsor of our World of Outlaws event this November," said Chris Powell, LVMS executive vice president and general manager. "We've formed a strong bond with the DaimlerChrysler (NYSE:DCX) organization through our NASCAR Winston Cup event. The addition of Mopar as a partner will enhance that relationship even further."

Mopar, which is the parts division for DaimlerChrysler's Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler brands, is based in Center Line, Mich. It has been a long-time motorsports sponsor with involvement in NASCAR, NHRA and IHRA as well as the Pennzoil World of Outlaws.

"The Mopar brand has been involved in World of Outlaws racing for a number of years," said Paul Kelly, Director of Sales & Marketing for Mopar. "Being the title sponsor for the final event of the season, especially in the country's greatest destination city of Las Vegas, is another great way for Mopar to show its support for circle track racing in the United States. "

In addition to its sponsorship of this year's event at LVMS, Mopar also sponsors the car of 1999 World of Outlaws champion Mark Kinser.

In addition to Mark Kinser, the Mopar Parts World Finals will feature the top Sprint-Car drivers in the country including, "King of the Outlaws" Steve Kinser, "Slammin'" Sammy Swindell, and Danny "The Dude" Lasoski, who won earlier this year at LVMS and claimed victory at the Knoxville Nationals.
