Adam Burrows Keeps Busy at PRI; Driver coach does some virtual work at big industry show

(16 December 2008)--Recently signed RSR Motorsports driver Adam Burrows had a full schedule last week at the 21st Annual Performance Racing Industry trade show in Orlando, Florida. The 2007 Grand-Am KONI Sports Car Challenge Champion was on hand working with leading motorsports simulation company iRacing.com, as the Boston-based firm continued to expand a growing subscriber base as a captive audience of racers got the opportunity to experience the product first hand.

Burrows, who also does extensive work designing and implementing manufacturer ride and drive experiences in addition to his busy schedule as a private driving coach, was on site at PRI with iRacing to guide interested attendees as they got to experience iRacing's remarkable physics model in several simulators set up at the show. Burrows personally knows the advantages of some virtual seat-time, having utilized the iRacing simulators to get a new perspective on Virginia International Raceway before clinching the 2007 Championship with co-driver Trevor Hopwood at the track with a run to the podium in the six-hour enduro.

It wasn't all work at PRI, though, as the Connecticut-based racer also got to catch up with several of his KONI colleagues, competitors, and sponsor representatives as well as taking in the All-Star Karting race on Thursday evening.

"It was a fun show with a lot of familiar faces everywhere and it was good to catch up with people away from the track," said Burrows. "I really enjoy working with the iRacing guys and their simulator is just amazing. I've been using it in private coaching with clients. A few of my KONI competitors even stopped by the booth for a drive. It was pretty clear that they were impressed with the quality of the product. It's a lot of fun to guide people through the experience because everyone enjoys it so much. It was also kind of nice to get out of the cold for a couple days and I'm looking forward to being back down in Florida after the New Year."

Burrows will be back in on-track action on January 3-5 in the 'Roar Before The 24' as he and co-pilot Hopwood get their first taste of running in their new RSR Motorsports MINI Cooper S in a tune-up for the season-opening Fresh From Florida 200 on January 23.
