Jani-King signs with ASA, title sponsor Memphis

Pendleton, Ind. (February 9, 2002) - Jani-King, the world's largest commercial cleaning franchising company, has agreed to a multi-faceted sponsorship program with the 2002 ASA Racing Series.

Jani-King will be the title sponsor of the ASA event August 25 at Memphis Motorsports Park in Millington (TN). The Jani-King 300 will be televised live to a national audience at 3 p.m. (Eastern) on TNN.

In addition to the title sponsorship at Memphis, Jani-King will serve as the "presenting sponsor" for five events. They include ASA visits to USA International Speedway in Lakeland (FL) on March 24, I-70 Speedway in Odessa (MO) on June 22, Jennerstown (PA) Speedway on July 14, La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedways in West Salem (WI) on June 30, and Toledo (OH) Speedway on August 11.

"Jani-King has found that motorsports is a great way to get valuable national identification for their business, as well as a great venue for entertaining their employees, franchisees and customers," said Greg Carr, ASA marketing manager. "We're excited an d proud to have them on board as a major sponsor this year and look forward to helping them further reach their goals."

The ASA Racing Series event sponsorship program adds to the Dallas-based Jani-King's involvement in ASA, and in motorsports in general. Jani-King has also announced it will be the primary team sponsor with 2002 ASA rookie candidate Wayne Anderson of Florid a in his quest for an ASA National Championship. Anderson won two of the last three All Pro Series championships.

The sponsorship will also include a ticketing program at all 20 events designed for Jani-King franchisees and customers. Jani-King will also have a commercial presence in all 20 TNN national telecasts.

"Our involvement in racing has already provided us and our franchisees with a tremendous amount of new business opportunities," says Jani-King International President Jerry Crawford. "Through our regional offices, we have acquired contracts for several rac etracks, as well as the chance to bid on contracts with some of the other companies involved as sponsors, in ASA and in other series! It's really been a tremendous avenue for our franchisees with regard to new business opportunities!"

Jani-King began its involvement with ASA sponsoring driver Jeff Fultz for the first 10 events in the 1998 season. The sponsorship moved to veteran Mike Miller's car for the balance of 1998 and the full seasons of 1999, 2000 and 2001.

In 1999, Jani-King developed a stronger presence in ASA, serving as an event title sponsor at the season opener and presenting sponsor at a trio of events.
