December 6, 2004 AUSTIN, TX Iron Rock Raceway, Texas' first superkart racing country club and racer education facility, has appointed Chuck Berntsen as Track Director. Berntsen will coordinate all track activities, including driver safety requirements, track crew, timing and scoring, track configuration and lighting and surface preparation.
Prior to joining Iron Rock Raceway, Berntsen was Chief Flagman for Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) from 1999 until 2004. SKUSA is one of the nation's leading kart racing sanctioning bodies. He was also Co-Promoter and Race Director of the Portage Grand Prix in Portage, Indiana from 1994 to 1997.
