Indianapolis, IN - Cheever Indy Racing has partnered with Indianapolis-based information technology specialist Eviciti for the development of all Cheever Internet and marketing materials for the 2001 Indy Racing Northern Light Series season, team owner/driver Eddie Cheever Jr. announced Friday. The collaboration involves the design and development of the all-new, recently launched team website (www.cheeverindyracing.com), press kit, and hero card.

The Cheever Indy Racing site has been completely redesigned for the 2001 season and features some of the most robust technologies available today. The site's content management system allows members of the Cheever staff to easily update sections without any programming knowledge, while the new message board feature enables fans to post messages and questions for Eddie and the team.

In addition to Cheever Indy Racing news, statistics, and images, www.cheeverindyracing.com also features a page dedicated to team partners displaying corporate logos, hot links to partner websites, and brand information. The Cheever site serves as an arena for any special announcements, services, or products that corporate partners wish to highlight through their involvement with the Indianapolis 500-winning team.

The Cheever Indy Racing site is implemented using an interwoven orchestration of Object-Oriented and Microsoft technologies. Some of the technologies used include MS Windows 2000, MS SQL Server 2000, MS Internet Information Server 5.0, ASP 3.0, JavaScript, HTML, and Visual Basic COM. This orchestration of technology produces a web site that is reliable, scalable, maintainable, and extendable.

The press kit and hero (bio) card were redesigned to complement the look and feel of the website and other marketing materials, and will be distributed at all Indy Racing Northern Light Series events.
