From the Grandstands to Pit Lane

For the past 15 years if you went to the Indianapolis 500 you could find Todd & Teri Brayton parked under one of the remaining trees inside of turn one with their friends. They would cook up some good food, have a couple beers, feed all the yellow shirts, and root for cars using Brayton Engines. Each year in the back of their minds they knew when the time was right they would move from the Grandstands to the Pit Lane. The time is now.

They have purchased Tri-star Motorsports equipment and are living the dream both share of owning a team in the Indy Racing League.

Brayton Racing will have Dallara Cars with Chevrolet power. The engines will be built by; you guessed it, Brayton Engineering.

"Teri will be the owner and I will be the Team Manager" Todd says. "This business relies on marketing. The IRL has a woman driver in Sarah Fisher now they have a woman owner in Teri Brayton. She has been around this sport along time with me, she knows her way around the Pits, I feel it's a better fit to have both of us directly involved."

Brayton Racing plans to compete in the entire 2002 IRL Schedule. Teri and Todd have been life partners as they met in the first grade and their families always lived near each other. They were married in 1986 and celebrated their 15th Wedding Anniversary December 20th.

" I think most people would agree that the IRL is going to grow, We have been trying to start a team with sponsorship from the fans, and we are still doing that. We feel when we are out on the track the fan sponsorship will come. We have some exciting things happening from the Corporate Sponsorship side that we will be announcing soon."

The Brayton family has been a part of the Indy 500 for over 20 year's and is proud to be there.

This year don't go to the tree to find Teri and Todd, be a Fan Sponsor and come to the Pit Lane.
