GMP TO SUPPORT HIGH BANKS HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONS

BELLEVILLE, KS-July 16-Georgia Marketing and Promotions, one of the premier makers of diecast model cars, is lending it's support to the High Banks Hall of Fame and National Midget Racing Museum inductions, set for July 29th at Belleville, Kansas. GMP will be donating several Bill Schindler/Caruso 1/18th scale midgets to the silent auction as well as several vintage sprints, which will be painted to match the Goodrich Belle of Belleville #67, the Buss Goodrich #6, the Red Forshee #84 and several others. The auction will take place during the induction ceremony. Some of the additional items for the auctions will one checkered flag signed by the 1999 inductees and one signed by the 2000 inductees. In addition to vintage cars, GMP offers a full line of 1/50th, 1/24th and 1/18th scale current sprint, and sports cars, They also have 1/18th and 1/12th scale Dirt Champ cars and accessories. The induction, which will honor 1999 and 2000 inductees into the hall of fame, will take place at the Belleville High School auditorium, from 10:00AM to 1:00PM on Saturday July 29th. 1999 inductees are: Andy Anderson, Red Forshee, The Goodrich Family, Bobby Grim, Bill Hill, Mitch Miller, Jim Roper, Bill Smith, Les and Beryl Ward, and Chet Wilson. Inductees for 2000 are: Jon Backlund, Lloyd Beckman, Pat Cunningham, Cotton Farmer, Stan Fox, Eddie Jackson, LaVerne Nance, Gordie Shuck, Sleepy Tripp and Jay Woodside. It is being held in conjunction with the 3rd Belleville Vintage Race Car Meet July 28-29-30. Over 85 cars have been pre-entered for this national event, which is held semi-annually. Grandstand admission for the vintage meet is only $2 per person for each day. Tickets for the High Banks Hall of Fame and National Midget Auto Racing Museum inductions are $12.50 per person and include a noon meal. Tickets are also still available for the truck giveaway to benefit the Hall of Fame. The lucky winner will receive his or her choice of a Chevy, Ford or Dodge pickup or $10,000 in cash. Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased from the High Banks Hall of Fame.
