Engroff, Crick Join Heartland Park Topeka Staff
TOPEKA, Kansas (March 7, 2005) -Heartland Park Topeka is proud to announce two new additions to their staff.
Jeff Engroff, owner of Engroff Catering in Topeka, has been named the Director of Sales and Hospitality at Heartland Park Topeka. According to Raymond Irwin, Heartland Park Topeka owner, it is a step forward in making hospitality and food operations the best in the industry.
"Jeff has been an important part of our NHRA O'Reilly Summer Nationals event since I took over, and now having Jeff working with us every day to help develop our food and beverage program is fantastic," Irwin said.
Engroff will coordinate and direct all outside sales efforts at the track. He will also be in charge of all food, beverage and hospitality.
Engroff has been the owner of Engroff Catering since 1996. Prior to that, he was the President of Big Top Popcorn from 1990-1995.
"I'm looking forward to working with Raymond and the staff of Heartland Park Topeka, said Engroff. "With so much growth, and the opportunities for growth, I'm excited to begin developing relationships with our racers, fans and partners."
Another new addition to the staff is Donna Crick. Crick has been named the Concession Manager at Heartland Park Topeka. Crick will be responsible for managing concession sales and staff for all events held at Heartland Park Topeka, along with working with Engroff to continue developing food operations.
"The atmosphere is different. The menus will change to reflect changing tastes of our consumers while also maintaining the quality of product and service developed since Raymond Irwin took over," Crick said.
Irwin said Crick has knowledge about the food business that will ensure Heartland Park Topeka is recognized as a great facility with extraordinary food.
"Donna also knows that service with a smile and her relationship with each of our customers is as important as her ability to offer excellent food at our concessions," Irwin said. "We all look forward to having Donna join the Heartland Park Topeka team."
Crick was a service trainer at Jerry's Restaurant in Kentucky before moving to Topeka in 1992. Crick is currently working in the food service industry in Topeka.
Heartland Park Topeka, a multi-purpose racing facility located in Topeka, Kan. annually hosts NHRA POWERade drag racing, Championship OFF-Road Racing (CORR), and the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) in addition to many other events throughout the race season.
