Hardeeville Motor Speedway 2004 Rulebook Released
(December 18, 2003) Hardeeville, SC - Hardeeville Motor Speedway officials announced today that the 2004 Rulebook has been completed and is being released to drivers and the general public. Hardeeville Motor Speedway GM/Promoter Mike Covert said, "The 2004 Rulebook has been on the drawing board for awhile so it is a pleasure to announce that it is ready to be released. We took a different approach to the rulebook this year and I believe this is a document everyone can work with." Covert added, "We looked at each racing class independently as well as the general track rules so it can be quite a process. There were several areas of focus this year and we wanted to wait until the process was completed properly."
Some of the highlights in the 2004 Rulebook include the removal of the old "Street Stock Division" and the expansion of what was the "X-Treme Stock Division". That class is now known as the "Hobby Stock Division". Some other highlights are the expansion of the 4- cylinder "Mini Stock" class to allow trucks to compete, some safety improvements to the "Road Warriors" and body and engine clarifications with the "Late Models". The General Track Rules have had several clarifications and additions including a discount pit pass to anyone that purchases a 2004 Track License. Track License's are available to any driver, crew -member, spectator, or otherwise. During the course of 2004, a person having a 2004 Track License will save approximately $100.00 in pit pass fees.
The Hardeeville Motor speedway is located on US Rt. 17, 2 miles south of I-95 exit 5 in SC or just 10 minutes north of Savannah, GA.
