Woking, Great Britain, 19Ih February 2001: Friedrich Grohe AG & Co. KG, one of the world's largest manufacturers of hygiene bathroom installations and systems will, as an Official Supplier, install its products in Paragon, the TAG McLaren Group's new headquarters currently under construction in Woking, Surrey, UK. The new Technology Centre will accommodate the World Championship winning Formula One team, West McLaren Mercedes and will be the future production facility of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren super sports car. Paragon will also comprise of laboratories, research and testing facilities, as well as a museum and visitors centre.
The new headquarters of the TAG McLaren Group has been described as 'one of the most impressive construction projects in the world'. Located in the South of England, near the company's present headquarlers, the new 200-acre development has been designed by the famous British architectural firm of Foster & Partners. One of the largest private buildings currently under construction in Europe, Paragon is scheduled for completion in 2002.
"We are proud to say that GROHE will add its contribution to the completion of this ambitious construction project," declared Stephan M. Heck, Vice President Europe, Grohe, after signing agreements with Ron Dennis, the Chairman and CEO of the TAG McLaren Group.
The range of products to be installed in the the various buildings at Paragon includes concealed on-the-wall bathroom supply installation systems for modern interior design, electronically controlled WC flushes from the GROHEDAL range, GROHETEC fittings and showers, as well as water disinfection and management systems from AQUA, guaranteeing a supply of sterile water (due to treatment with ultraviolet light) and electronic control of the entire water circulation.
Installation of the GROHE products will start in May 2001 and is scheduled for completion at the end of December 2001.
These installations and systems have been supplied by GROHE under the umbrella brand name GROHE Water Technology since the early 1990s. The highest quality standards combined with functionality and a sophisticated design for both residential and contract installations have made GROHE one of the most successful companies in its industry.
GROHE's group sales have more than doubled in the last ten years. Sales in the financial year 2000 - DM 1.5 billion -were once again higher than in the previous year.
