ATLANTA, GA. (October 13 2000) - One of the great promotional opportunities with the Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring in 2000 has been the outing at the NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway located in the Mall of Georgia in Buford, Ga. On September 1 drivers and officials of the series were introduced to the exciting racing simulators that gives NASCAR race fans every opportunity to drive a NASCAR Winston Cup racing simulator at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Lowe's Motor Speedway. With the racing event at Lanier National Speedway on September 2, postponed due to inclement weather, and rescheduled for October 28 2000, race fans and Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring drivers will have the opportunity to square off in the Goody's Dash Select on Friday night October 27. This competition will allow NASCAR race fans to compete against six of the best of the best drivers from the Goody's Dash Series. Race fans will have to qualify for the Goody's Dash Select through qualifying races to be held at two different locations in the Atlanta area. Two Goody's Dash Series, NASCAR Touring drivers have already committed to attending this competition. Robert Huffman, three-time series national champion and in line to win his fourth national title in 2000 along with 2000 NAPA Filter Rookie of the Year Cam Strader have committed to attend this exciting night of action. Bobby Harmon, NASCAR Silicon Motor Speedway PR/Marketing Director is ecstatic about this event. "We have had many NASCAR stars visit our facility but to have the same series come back here twice in one year is a tremendous promotional opportunity for us.
