TOPEKA, Kan. (December 2, 2002) -- The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) has named Pattie Frost its new Marketing Services Coordinator.

Reporting to SCCA Vice President of Marketing Garret Mudd, the new position will be the focal point of communication with partners and sponsors to ensure that all obligations are being met. The position is designed to serve as the primary conduit of information as well as assist sponsors in leveraging their partnership with SCCA to the fullest and capitalize on new and expanded marketing opportunities.

"I'm very excited to be joining one of the top organizations in the industry," said Frost. "Having worked in just about every aspect of racing, from public relations to event promotion, I understand how the industry works. This knowledge will be very helpful in my new position."

With over 35 years of experience in the racing industry, Frost brings to SCCA a diverse background that includes working as the Marketing and Sales Manager for Hoosier Tire Midwest, a Distributor of Hoosier Racing Tires, as well as holding positions with Bell Helmets Inc. and Weld Racing.

"Pattie brings a tremendous knowledge of the auto racing industry to the SCCA," said Mudd. "We are very excited to have someone of her caliber joining our team. Pattie will be instrumental in our efforts to bring a greater level of responsiveness and communication to our partners and sponsors."

Frost, a San Francisco native, lives in Tonganoxie, Kan., with her husband of 20 years, drag boat racer Jack Frost. Frost finds time to enjoy all forms of motor racing, with a special interest in sprint cars, late model stock cars, motorcycles and the NHRA.
