Quotes

Raj Nair, Ford Group Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, Global Product Development: “It was kind of a vision for the team…let’s really start with the function of the car. This car’s function is to win at Le Mans. We started with aerodynamics and the fact that it came out beautiful is fantastic and the team did a great job, but it was driven by the aerodynamics first. The suspension choices, the size of the cockpit, and then the engine choice driven by the aero.”

Dave Pericak, Director, Ford Performance: We’re taking everything that’s great at Ford Motor Company and we’re putting it into this machine, but in the process of working on a car like this, you’re also on the cutting edge of technology and you’re developing new things. So it’s going to represent the best that we have and it’s also going to create new things we can cascade down through the rest of the company.”
