Saxton, a veteran of more than 40 years on the motorsports business, also publishes Motorsports Sponsorship Marketing News, a monthly newsletter cover marketing, sponsorship and promotion in motorsports.

"I continue to appreciate the confidence the membership has in me (and Marilyn) when they continue to ask us to lead the organization. Our three day convention, just completed, was a huge success. We are looking forward to growth and some organization changes during the next two years," said Saxton.

Len Sammons (Area Auto Racing News) will serve as vice president. David Moulthrop (Gater Racing News and Berkshire Courier) will be the Northern Vice President. The organization named a Southern Vice President, Monty Dutton (Gaston Gazzette). Marilyn Saxton will continue as secretary while Bill Yoder (Motgomery Publishing) serves as treasurer.

The Board of Directors, for the next two years, will include John Snyder (Area Auto Racing News/ Speedway Illustrated), Ron Hedger (National Speed Sport News), Bob Yurko (Area Auto Racing News), Bill Huneke (Trentonian), Dick Brinster (Associated Press) and Herb Anastor (Area Auto Racing News).

Plans for the 2003 convention will be announced in the very near future.
