Daytona International Speedway announces promotions, additions in sales staff.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., (March 26, 2003) ¯ Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig announced today several promotions and additions to the sales staff at the "World Center of Racing."

Daren Lucas has been named Senior Director of Sales and Marketing Partnerships for Daytona International Speedway. In his new role, Lucas will oversee the Speedway's ticket office, guest services, sales efforts and partnerships.

Lucas, a native of Clinton, N.C., joined International Speedway Corporation in January 2000 as Director of Corporate Ticketing. In April 2002, he was named Director of Interactive Marketing for ISC.

Lucas, holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina and a Master's degree from Ohio University.

Prior to joining ISC, Lucas spent 12 years at the University of North Carolina developing fundraising, marketing and ticketing programs.

Debbie Weller joins Daytona International Speedway as Director of Sales and Marketing Partnerships. In her new duties, Weller will direct all group sales, hospitality and sponsorship sales as well as sponsorship services and event logistics.

Prior to her new role, Weller served as Director of Marketing and Sales at Richmond International Raceway. Weller also worked at ISC Corporate Marketing and later at Watkins Glen International before joining Richmond in December 1999.

Weller, a native of Lexington, Mich., holds two Associate degrees, including one in Hospitality Management from Daytona Beach Community College.

Julynn Stiff has been named Senior Manager of Marketing Partnerships. Stiff will manage and coordinate the strategic marketing partnerships for Daytona International Speedway. Prior to her new role, Stiff served as the Director of Group Sales for DAYTONA USA.

Before joining Daytona's team, Stiff, of Haines City, Fla., spent 17 years in the travel and tourism industry with Anheuser-Busch Theme parks and Universal Studios. She has a background in sales and marketing partnerships and holds an Associate Degree from the National Education Center in Tampa, Fla.

Ollie Dean has been named Senior Manager of Sales. Dean, will manage a team of sales managers in group, hospitality and sponsorship sales.

Prior to joining Daytona International Speedway, Dean, a native of Mansfield, Ohio and a graduate of the University of Georgia, served as Group Sales Manager for Darlington Raceway, North Carolina Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway.

"The addition of Daren, Debbie, Julynn and Ollie will no doubt take Daytona's sales efforts to the next level," Braig said. "They're a valuable addition to our outstanding team."
