Two CORR drivers head list of nominees for 2001 AARWBA All-America team
Avon, Ind. (November 27, 2001)CORR champions Scott Taylor (Pro-2) and Rob MacCachren (Pro-4) are two of the six drivers who are on the ballot in the At Large category of the 2001 American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association All-American team. Two drivers from each category will be named to the first team and will be honored at the annual AARWBA banquet in January. The balloting will also determine a second team of the drivers placing third and fourth in each category, and honorable mentions to all other drivers receiving at least five percent of the vote.

Three-time defending Pro-2 champion Scott Taylor (1999-2001) finished the 2001 season with 7 wins and 15 top-five finishes. In Rounds 1 through 14, Taylor's EXXON Superflo Ford had 14 consecutive finishes in the top-three. Taylor now has 24 wins in 66 career Championship Off-Road Racing starts.

Rob MacCachren continued his reign as the Pro-4 champion in 2001. His Trail Master Ford had 9 wins and 14 top-five finishes in 2001. MacCachren increased his career Pro-4 victories to 22 in 66 starts. In 2000 and 2001, MacCachren never relinquished his first place position (through 34 rounds).

More than 300 members of the Motorsports press will select the 12-driver Auto Racing All-America team. The AARWBA members have annually chosen an All-America Auto Racing Team since 1970.

2000 CORR Pro-Lite Champion Jeff Kincaid was awarded Honorable Mention in the At Large category last year. Former CORR Pro-4 champion Walker Evans (First Team-1999) and current Pro-2 driver Evan Evans have been recognized by the AARWBA for their superior driving in the past.

The banquet is open to the public. Ticket information is available from AARWBA, 922 N. Pass Ave., Burbank, CA 91505 or call (818) 842-7005.
