HILLIARD, OH . . .The 11th annual Bobby Rahal-Kroger Columbus Charities Pro-AM donated $150,000 to four central-Ohio children's charities in a presentation Wednesday morning. The check presentations were made at the Team Rahal Headquarters by three-time CART Series Champion Bobby Rahal, Nick Rees Manager of Consumer Affairs for The Kroger Company, Jim Kunk Regional President of Huntington National Bank and Bill Wickham the Chairman of SBC Advertising who represented the Miller Brewing Company.

The four 1999 recipients were Children's Hospital Transplantation Unit which received $75,000, Hannah Neil Center for Children which received $25,000, Columbus Speech and Hearing which received $25,000 and Maryhaven Adolescent Center which received $25,000.

To date the Pro-Am has raised over $1.75 million dollars that has been donated to central-Ohio children's charities. Over one million dollars of the money has been raised has been donated to Children's Hospital's Transplantation Unit headed by Dr. Fred Ruymann.

"The continued success of the Pro-Am is a testament to the dedication of the people and companies involved with this great event," said Rahal. "When we started this event in 1989 we wanted to make a difference in the lives of children."
