PHOENIX, AZ - - November 29, 2000 - Indy Car Travel has been names as United States outlet for ticket and travel information for the Monterrey Grand Prix of Mexico, March 8-11, 2001 at Parque Fundidora (Fundidora Park) in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Championship Auto Racing Teams, Inc., city and state officials from Monterrey and Nuevo Leon, as well as event promoter Pat Patrick, partner Gerald Forsythe and Tecate announced the Monterrey Grand Prix of Mexico race in April of this year. The track is located in northern Mexico at Fundidora Park in the middle of Monterrey, a major hub of Mexico's economy and one of its most modern cities with a population of over five million. Just two-and-a-half hours by car from Laredo, Texas and less than an hour by plane from Houston, Texas the 1.8-mile Fundidora Park course will feature eight turns and three chicanes.
