Motorsports Heats Up Toronto This Weekend
Courtice, ON -- February 28, 2008: Now only just one day away the Canadian Motorsports Expo is a do not miss event with fantastic door prizes, great exhibitors, informative free seminars and celebrity autographs.
Among the prizes for show patrons to win is a weekend for two to a NASCAR Sprint cup race with Have Bus Race Tours, Two V.I.P. Motor City Club tickets to the Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix featuring the Indy Racing League and American Le Mans Series, tickets to Mosport International Raceway events, Peterborough Speedway tickets and Bell Racing merchandise from CSC Racing Products. With every admission ticket there is a chance to win one of these prizes! Several exhibitors are offering specials and prizes at their booths too.
With an impressive list of exhibitors fans, racers and potential racers will be able to talk and shop everything from collectibles, parts, accessories, shop equipment, trailers, RV's and more. Tracks and series will be present with schedules and information. The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame will be there and there will be no shortage of race vehicles to see including Formula One, Indy Car, NASCAR Canadian Tire Series, Touring Car, Super Late Model, Off Shore, Formula Cars and more.
The seminar room will be a busy place all weekend. All seminars are FREE to attend and include topics for enthusiasts, racers (new and seasoned) and people looking to get involved in the sport.
The Expo stage will host a number of celebrities and forums. Ron Fellows will appear Saturday at 1:00 pm, NASCAR Canadian Tire Series drivers J.R. Fitzpatrick, Ron Beauchamp JR. and Mark Dilley take the stage at 6:00 pm Saturday. The OSCAAR Super Late Model Series have two sessions, Friday and Saturday. Ontario Formula Ford young guns assemble Sunday as too do a couple of top ranked drivers from the Toronto Outboard Racing Club. The popular 'Meet the Media' Fan Forum returns to the stage for 2:00 pm Saturday followed by a rather topical discussion on the merits of the Crate Motor sweeping through the short track oval ranks. Plus a number of drivers can be spotted at various booths all weekend long. The list includes Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame inductees Warren Coniam and Junior Hanley.
Canadian Motorsports Expo runs February 29, March 1 & 2, 2008 at the Toronto Congress Centre, Hall D (650 Dixon Rd at the 401). Hours are from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm Friday & Saturday; and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday. General admission is only $15.00, Seniors and Youth (10 to 15 years old) $10.00 and Children under 10 years old are free with a paid adult admission. Three-day passes are also available.
