As Brownfield Promotions, Inc., based out of Snohomish, WA, enters it's sixth year of promoting dirt track racing in the northwest, they will once again bring best in Motorsports Entertainment to the Northwest with 58 motorsports events. As in past years they will again be providing the fans the fast paced action of the "hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour" and the "Wild Wild Northwest Tour" featuring the "Pennzoil World of Outlaw Series".
Along with the hot sprint car tour action, Brownfield Promotions will again be providing motorsports action at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in Elma, WA and State Fair Raceway in Yakima, WA.
We are proud to announce that hy-per-lube Performance Products continues as series sponsor of the "Northern Sprint Tour", with 17 races at six different tracks scheduled for the upcoming season. Also returning as a major sponsor will be 20/10 Products and Hoosier Tires will again supply the series spec tire. The season will commence on May 11th at State Fair Raceway in Yakima, WA with the final race at Riverside Speedway in Cottage Grove, OR on September 15th.
A highlight of the season will be "Northwest Speedweek", challenging the west coast's best with six races in six days at five different tracks. Speedweek will begin at Medford, OR's Southern Oregon Speedway on July 16th and culminate in the 5th annual "Evergreen State Sprint Challenge" at Grays Harbor Raceway Park in Elma, WA July 20th & 21st.
One of the top motorsports events of the Northwest, the "Wild Wild Northwest Tour" featuring the "Pennzoil World of Outlaw Series" will make it's 8th visit to the Northwest next August with stops at MetraPark in Billings, MT, Grays Harbor Raceway Park and State Fair Raceway. Part of their fall western US swing, the "Pennzoil World of Outlaw Series" brings the world's finest sprint car drivers to their fans.
Grays Harbor Raceway Park, located at the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds in Elma, WA, has posted a 22 race-date schedule for the 2001 season. Starting on April 28th with a Test and Tune day, their regular Saturday night programs will feature Sprints, Modifieds, Hobbies and Cruisers for 14 races ending with Championship night on September 8th. For the 2001 season, the sprint car class has raised their purse to pay $1,000.00 to win the "A-Main" with a $225 minimum to start.
Grays Harbor Raceway Park has set June 15th & 16th as the date for the "2nd Annual Northwest Modified Nationals". This is one of the largest modified races on the West Coast with a total purse of nearly $30,000 and the Saturday night winner receiving $5,000. July's "Evergreen State Sprint Challenge", the "Pennzoil World of Outlaw Series" on August 17th & 18th, an additional hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour race and the Grays Harbor County Fair Race fill out the non-weekly racing.
State Fair Raceway will run a 15 date schedule beginning on April 6th and ending October 5th. During the 2001 season fans will be treated to variety of racing venues. Six nights will feature "Fun In The Sun" (FITS) racing with Sprints, Hobby Stocks & Modifieds providing the racing action.
The "hy-per-lube Northern Sprint Tour" will make three visits with the years highlight being the August 22nd visit by the "Pennzoil World of Outlaw Series".
