Tim Boeve Named Volunteer Coordinator at Infineon Raceway

SONOMA, Calif. (Sept. 30, 2008) -- Sonoma's Tim Boeve has been named Volunteer Coordinator at Infineon Raceway, raceway officials announced.

Boeve, 55, will oversee the raceway's Track Ambassador program, which coordinates more than 400 volunteers who fill roles at the raceway's major events and various promotional and charitable activities throughout the year. His duties will include scheduling, coordinating and recruiting new volunteers, as well as the development and implementation of a new volunteer training and orientation program.

"We have worked closely with Tim for years on various projects with Speedway Children's Charities," said Steve Page, president and general manager of Infineon Raceway. "He's intelligent, thoughtful and has a unique ability to connect with people. Tim was a natural choice when this role became available and he'll be a terrific addition to our team."

In addition to his duties as the Volunteer Coordinator, Boeve serves as Track Minister at the raceway. Before being hired at Infineon Raceway, Boeve was the Executive Director at the WillMar Center for Bereaved Children in Sonoma. He also served as the Executive Director of the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation for seven years and has been a member of the Speedway Children's Charities Board of Trustees in Sonoma since 2002.

Boeve graduated from Grand Valley State University in Michigan and has a Master of Arts in Divinity from the Western Theological Seminary. He currently resides in Sonoma.
