Ross Returns to Roots

December 10, 2007 - After cutting back on the amount of race and performance driver coaching he was doing in the past couple of years, Speed Secrets Driver Development Services announced today that Ross Bentley is looking to focus on his "first love" - coaching - again in 2008. As such, any driver wishing to have the coach that many consider to be "the best there is" should contact Speed Secrets immediately to reserve Ross's services.

"Over the past 3 years I've focused most of my time on building a teen driving school," said Bentley. "With it being extremely successful, and having great people to manage that business, I knew it was time for me to get back to doing what I absolutely love - coaching race and performance drivers. The last couple of years have only made me a better coach - I've had some time to do research on better ways to help and coach drivers, and I've learned more about human performance and learning strategies. And, the limited amount of coaching I've done over the last while has made me hungrier than ever to bring out the very best performance in my drivers."

While Ross has not been coaching full time since 2005, there was no way anyone was going to keep him completely away from the track. He has continued to work with Colin Braun, as he has moved from driving Daytona Prototypes to driving stock cars for Roush Fenway Racing. He's also coached drivers in Formula BMW, Formula Mazda, and Grand-Am Daytona Prototypes; and delivered workshops for car clubs (advanced driving techniques, instructor training), race teams (team-building), and Inner Speed Secrets seminars for a variety of drivers. For 2008, he's preparing to coach more drivers, and deliver more workshops and seminars.

John Jacobsen, General Manager of Speed Secrets, sees Ross's return having a two-fold effect. "Not only will more drivers, teams and car clubs have access to Ross, but he will help bring up the level of all our Speed Secrets coaches. He helps train our coaches, and he's a resource to all of them. Ross's varied experience is something that you can't duplicate, and any driver who works with him is fortunate, as are our other coaches who rely on his experience and knowledge."

In 2002, Ross Bentley founded Speed Secrets to fulfill the individual needs of race drivers and in the process began to build the biggest and best driver coaching organization in the world. Speed Secrets helps drivers accelerate their potential by offering much more than the traditional "Racing School". Today, Speed Secrets focuses on improving driver performance by providing highly customized training with emphasis on the six critical areas that are required to become the complete driver; racing, testing, physical, mental, marketing and career skills.

Speed Secrets has a simple goal: To provide "The Very Best Training. Period!"
