SCUDERIA COLONI STARTS THE ENGINES FOR 2010 TESTING VALSECCHI, VALERIO, ONIDI, BONANOMI AND BRATT IN JEREZ
After a great final part of the 2009 season, with the team running on a positive trend and a race win on home soil in Monza, Scuderia Coloni is ready to get back on track to prepare another season in the GP2 Main Series.
The championship will re-start its engines on the 6,7 and 8 October in Jerez with the first three-day test session and, obviously, Scuderia Coloni will be there with two cars in order to try as much as 5 drivers, taking the first benchmarks useful to define the 2010 line-up. Davide Valsecchi, Alberto Valerio, Fabio Onidi, Marco Bonanomi and Will Bratt will take the wheel of the Dallara cars sponsored by PartyPoker Racing.
Valsecchi is one of Italy's faster and most talented drivers, racing at the highest level from 2006 and able to take a win and three podiums in GP2 Asia last season, then confirming his performances also in the Main Series. The brazilian Valerio, instead, growed in the British F.3 but in the last two seasons he raced in GP2, taking his first win in 2009, on a challenging track like Silverstone.
In the five pilots group, three of them have something in common: Onidi, Bonanomi and Bratt are in a close fight for the Euroseries 3000 title. The champion will be known only after the last two races, held in Monza on October 18th. The winning driver will get a fully funded season in GP2 Asia with Scuderia Coloni, so this is a good occasion for them to prepare and take the most out of it.
