PASTOR MALDONADO WINS EURO 3000 RACE 1 IN PORTIMAO

Pastor Maldonado won the first race of the Euro 3000 weekend in Portimao. Teamcraft Motorsport's Venezuelan, who was starting from the first row alongside the poleman Bonanomi, in the first part of the race wasn't so fast, being overtaken even by Onidi who went into second behind the Italian Bull Racing Motorsport driver.

The front group then was completed by Gonzales, who attacked Onidi managing to get into second position. But Onidi, trying to overtake Gonzales, hit him forcing both to retire. Maldonado, instead, showed to have something more than his rivals and began a nice duel with Bonanomi, in the end managing to overtake him.

Behind Maldonado and Bonanomi finished Fabrizio Crestani, after a great start. Fourth was Nunes, ahead of Herck and Clivio Piccione, who set the fastest lap of the race in 1'34"507. The second race of the Euro 3000 weekend in Portimao will start at 13:35 (14:35 Italian time) in 20 laps, being broadcast live by Nuvolari TV and by the website www.partypokerracing.it.
