PERONI PROMOTION INCENTIVE OBJECTION TO LOLA CARS INTERNATIONAL AND COLONI MOTORSPORT PRESS RELEASE
Following Lola Cars International and Coloni Motorsport press release, Peroni Promotion Incentive, as 3000 PRO SERIES organiser, deems rightful to make a few aspects clear.
Lola B99/50 cars used in 3000 Pro Series, as from 2006 season, will undergo a series of changes related to aerodynamics. These changes have been decided following an in-depth aerodynamic and structural study for updating safety and improving performances. These updating will be submitted to FIA (the only body in charge) to which a new car homologation has been requested. Moreover, amongst the foreseen updating, it is possible to insert the extraction seat without any change to the car body, contrary to what stated by Coloni Motorsport.
We warn as well Coloni Motorsport to affirm an alleged use of non original spare parts on some 3000 Pro Series cars as all of them, before every race, are put through technical scrutiny by CSAI Marshals who verify their compliance.
Finally we would like to emphasize the odd Coloni Motorsport double role, as Lola Cars sole agent and F3000 championship organiser, trying to discredit a competing championship with its detrimental statements and to take national and international sporting authority place. The same authority is mentioned in the press release as organizing partner and therefore clashing with the natural super-partes role it should have towards all its associated members.
Peroni Promotion Incentive srl is an ACI-CSAI licensed organiser of CSAI approved international series 3000 Pro Series with Lola B99/50 cars ZYTEK powered, AVON tyres and PANTA FUEL RACING fuel.
